CHERILYN J. LEE | Director

A New York City native, Cherilyn’s path has included being a scholarship student at the School of American Ballet and the Rock School of the Pennsylvania Ballet, a dancer with the Hartford Ballet under the direction of Kirk Peterson, and a move to North Carolina to be one of the founding members of the Carolina Ballet under the direction of Robert Weiss. Throughout her career she performed diverse roles ranging from Juliet to Desdemona to the Jumping Girl along with those in other ballets choreographed by George Balanchine, Lynne Taylor-Corbett, Peterson, Tyler Walters, and Weiss.


After a fulfilling career as a ballet dancer, Cherilyn graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in Spanish Language & Literature and Business from NC State University.


Cherilyn is an ABT® Certified Teacher, who has successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Pre-Primary through Level 3 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum.
