Every year in October, City Ballet Raleigh and/or Charlotte School of Ballet and/or The Greensboro Dance Center is excited to host Cecchetti Liaison Day for our Southeast region. Dancers who are studying a Cecchetti grade syllabus -- Ballet IA and up -- are encouraged to enhance their knowledge by taking their appropriate classes. The Southeast Cecchetti Committee Liaison Officer teaches and shares knowledge and tips on Cecchetti Grades 1-6 during the day. Dancers will also have the opportunity to dance with other Cecchetti ballet students in Charlotte and Greensboro during class.
During the day, there is an audition class for scholarships to the Cecchetti International Summer program in Holland, Michigan, sponsored by the Southeast Cecchetti Committee.
``The Cecchetti Council of America is a nonprofit, educational organization dedicated to maintaining the standards and method of ballet training established by Cav. Enrico Cecchetti. The organization uses a sequence of grades, carefully measured as to degree of difficulty and physical development, and provides a system of accredited examinations to test the students’ proficiency within those grades.``
